
The four girls killed in the 16th Street Church Bombing back in 1963, may receive a congressional honor.
Today, Mayor William Bell will be in Washington, D.C. along with congressional leaders from Alabama to make a special request. They are asking lawmakers to award the four young victims with a Congressional Gold Medal.
It is one of the highest awards that can be given to civilians.
