Family escapes house fire in Chelsea

CHELSEA, AL (WBRC) -

Firefighters are battled a house fire in the Chesser Plantation subdivision in Chelsea on Wednesday morning. The blaze broke out around 4 a.m.

We are told a family, along with their pets, was able to get out of the house safely. The fire chaplain is also on the scene ready to assist the family with their needs.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
