Bridgette Ann Barnette. Source: Tuscaloosa Police DepartmentTuscaloosa police arrested a woman on drug charges last night at a home across the street from the police department.
"While search warrants are a common occurrence, the location of the residence that the suspect was selling drugs from was very surprising," Sgt. Brent Blankley with Tuscaloosa Police said, referencing the close proximity of the drug house to the police department.
Agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the home and arrested Bridgett Ann Barnette, a 24-year-old woman from Tuscaloosa, around 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
Barnette is charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of marijuana, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of drug paraphernalia. She is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $81,000 bond.
