Oxford sports complex plans canceled for now

The city of Oxford has thrown in the towel on its troubled sports complex. However, city officials say it may not be the end, but rather a matter of going back to the drawing board.

Work has been at a standstill on the project for three years, ever since construction workers found, and reburied, Indian remains.

Stopping the project will cost oxford almost $700,000 dollars, which will go toward restoring the land, and paying the contractor.

City officials say an architectural firm is already drawing up new plans for a project that would replace this one.
