Source: WBRC videoThe city of Oxford has thrown in the towel on its troubled sports complex. However, city officials say it may not be the end, but rather a matter of going back to the drawing board.
Work has been at a standstill on the project for three years, ever since construction workers found, and reburied, Indian remains.
Stopping the project will cost oxford almost $700,000 dollars, which will go toward restoring the land, and paying the contractor.
City officials say an architectural firm is already drawing up new plans for a project that would replace this one.
