BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is asking you to double check your kid's book bags before sending them to school.
Deputies say, so far this month, there have been several incidents of children taking toy guns and b.b. guns to school.
Each time, the fake gun caused a security scare.
