One shot at Center Point apartment complex

CENTER POINT, AL (WBRC) -

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department says they are looking for suspects in connection to a shooting that took place on Monday morning in Center Point. Chief Deputy Randy Christian says the Sheriff's Office received a report of shots being fired around 9:40 a.m. at the Stratford Square Apartment in the 2300 block of 24th Avenue Nw.

The 22-year-old victim told deputies that he got into an argument with two men that he did not know while in the parking lot. The men began to fire handguns at the victim while he ran away. The victim was struck once.

A BOLO was issued for the men and their vehicle, a black Chevy Camaro.

The victim was taken to a local hospital. Christian says his injuries are not life-threatening.
