The defense and prosecution in the Terry Greer shooting case, along with investigators, visited the scene of the crime on Monday. The defense wanted to look through the home after the Gardendale Police Department finished their forensic exam.
Greer, who was the pastor at Gardendale-Mt. Vernon UMC at the time, is accused of shooting and killing his wife and attempting to kill his daughter before trying to take his own life.
Terry Greer's attorney, Henry Lagman, says he expects Greer to stay in the hospital for another 2 weeks. He has guards at his hospital room 24/7. Lagman says it is difficult to communicate with Greer, who has been on a breathing tube.
"Terry is asking me the same question over and over again. He asked me several times how Lisa is," said Lagman.
At the home, Lagman feels some items had been removed from the home that may help in the defense.
Currently, Greer is suspended by the Methodist Church. If he is terminated, he will no longer have medical insurance. Lagman tells FOX6 News the board will meet tonight and take up concerns regarding Greer's employment. He says he is going to fight Greer's termination until there's a verdict. The Board of Trustees of Gardendale-Mt. Vernon UMC is expected to meet Tuesday to discuss Reverend Terry Greer's situation.
Previously, Lagman told us that the Pastor had been in a very dark place mentally before the shooting.
