The U.S. Attorney's Office has indicted a former police officer for excessive force.
Brandon Shane Mundy, 32, is charged with striking a man with a dangerous weapon and causing bodily harm in a November 2009 arrest in Town Creek.
The Attorney's Office says the actions deprived the man of the constitutional right to be free from the use of unreasonable force by someone acting under the color of law.
Mundy faces a maximum sentence of 10 years and a $250,000 fine.
