Pepper encrusted tuna w/dried ancho & chipotle peppers, topped w/spicy cucumber & mango salsa

 

1- 8oz tuna filet (sushi grade)

1 tbsp dried ancho chile

1 tbsp dried chipotle chile

1 tbsp olive oil

1 mango, halved, seeded peeled & diced

1 fresh lime

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbsp blue agave syrup

1/2 serrano pepper diced

1/2 purple onion sliced

 

Cover outer sides of tuna steak with olive oil, ancho chile & chipotle chile.  Fry in skillet until each side is seared (approx 1-2 min).  In a bowl, add mango, cinnamon, blue agave, serrano pepper & purple onion.  Squeeze lime into mix.  Pour salsa over tuna & serve.
