The area near where a man's body was found floating in a creek on Saturday. Source: WBRC videoThe coroner's office has identified the body of a man found floating in a creek in west Birmingham last weekend.
The coroner identifies the man as Herman Horn, a 58-year-old from Birmingham. Horn's body was discovered in a creek beneath a bridge on Saturday. The coroner has not yet released a cause of death for the man.
At this time, police don't believe foul play is involved but they're not ruling that out. They believe the man's body has been in the creek for some time now from the condition of the remains.
"Of course, there's a lot of bricks inside those waters that could have caused some damage to the body, but we're not quite sure right now the cause of death," Sgt. Johnny Williams with Birmingham PD said.
