Montevallo cat killer suspect bound to grand jury

MONTEVALLO, AL (WBRC) -

The case against a former University of Montevallo student accused of animal cruelty has been bound over to a grand jury.

Christian Slaton is accused of displaying dead cats on campus back in October. One was skinned alive, another tortured, one was found hanging from a flagpole and another mutilated. Slaton faces four charges of first degree cruelty to animals.

The university eventually kicked Slaton out of school and banned him from campus.
