Former Hale County deputy sheriff arrested for theft

HALE COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

The former Hale County deputy sheriff has been arrested on theft charges, the Hale County District Attorney confirms.

Former Deputy Sheriff Darrell McGuire was indicted on 16 counts of theft, Hale County DA Michael Jackson said.

Prosecutors have accused McGuire of not turning over drug evidence discovered during drug investigations. McGuire will be arraigned in circuit court sometime during the next three months.
