Univ. of Alabama opens conversation about no smoking ban

Thursday in Tuscaloosa, the University of Alabama community talked about what campus life would be like with a no smoking ban.

The majority of the community members at a meeting Thursday evening were in favor of a possible ban. SGA President Matt Calderone says that he finds the campus is split between supporting and opposing a ban.

He hopes that the two sides can can together and help develop a plan that works for everyone.

According to the Crimson White, there is already a rule that states no one can smoke within 30 feet of any building on campus.
