Birmingham Police officer arrested for domestic violence

BIRMINGHAM,AL (WBRC) - Birmingham Police arrested one of their own Saturday night on a domestic violence call.  Police were called out around 7:00 p.m. Saturday night to the residence of Officer Jeffery Miller. 

When officers arrived on the scene, a female stated she was involved in a dispute with Miller and it escalated into a physical confrontation.  Evidence at the scene prompted officers to arrest Miller. 

An internal investigation is ongoing along with the criminal investigation.  No other information was available.
