Crime scene investigators in Alabama will be getting some new gear.
Governor Robert Bentley has awarded nearly $100,000 in grants to the State Department of Forensic Sciences.
The money will be used to upgrade equipment and the department's IT section. It will also be used for more training.
The funds come from the U.S. Department of Justice and will be managed by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
