Not everyone who ordered Valentine's Day flowers from Norton's Florist received them on time this year.
Statement by phone from Senior Manager Christopher Hill.
Norton's Florist posted this apology on their Facebook page.Valentine's Day wasn't so sweet for some flower store customers around Birmingham.
Some say Norton's Florist never delivered the flowers they ordered, and others aren't so happy with the ones they got.
"I ordered my wife's Valentine's Day flowers from Norton's Florist about two weeks ago. My card was charged and yesterday she received nothing. We never got a call or anything," Adam H. said.
Stephanie R. emailed us saying,
"Can't get anyone on the phone and their voice mailbox is full!"
Stacey R. told us, "After 10 years of marriage, I have never missed a Valentine's Day or Birthday. I am livid that my wife sat there at her office all day waiting."
FOX6 News contacted Norton's Florist to find out what happened.
By phone, Senior Manager Christopher Hill blames the problem on "a computer glitch that caused the company to overbook some orders."
The company also posted this statement on their Facebook page:
"We apologize for having missed some deliveries on Valentine's Day. We worked very hard to successfully deliver over 1,000 flowers and gifts to very satisfied customers."
One satisfied customer sent us a photo and said his wife received her flowers today. Norton's is reportedly offering customers a full refund or re-delivery, in addition to a gift certificate.
The computer and phone problems have also been fixed, so you can call them at 205-313-1910 or send an email to customerservice@nortonsflorist.com.
