Deputies were called to the scene around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A female victim told them that as she was leaving her apartment, two men she did not know approached her and demanded money. She told them she had no money and they forced her back into her apartment.
She told deputies that the men made her sit on a love seat while they searched her apartment. When she tried to escape one of the suspects cut her with an unknown sharp object.
Deputies say the suspects then fled on foot and the woman went to a neighbor to call for help. She was treated for her injuries by Center Point Fire and Rescue and then went to the hospital for further treatment. Her injuries are non life-threatening.
