TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A teenager who was critically injured in a wreck in Brookwood last weekend has died from his injuries, Tuscaloosa authorities say.

Kendal Gamble, 19, passed away at DCH on Thursday night due to injuries he sustained in a wreck last Saturday, Feb. 16.

Captain Loyd Baker said Gamble was a passenger in a car that left the road and struck a tree on Camp Cherry Austin Road around 11:30 p.m.

Another teen was also injured in the wreck and taken to the hospital, but there is no update on that person's condition. Police said four people were in the car.

Brookwood Police called in assistance from the Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide Unit because they suspected alcohol may have been a factor in the wreck.
