TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Several stores in Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village are collecting prom dresses to be sold later this week in a benefit.

Gently used prom, bridesmaid or pageant dresses will be sold for $10 on Saturday, March 2 at Midtown Village, offering students the chance to buy an affordable formal dress in time for prom season.

All proceeds from the benefit sale will go to Turning Point, a service organization that helps victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in west Alabama.

The donated dresses can be dropped off at the following stores: Bevello, Soca, Lucca, Old Navy and AZWell. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Midtown Village in Suite 206 between Soca and Shades.

This is the third annual House of Prom hosted by Midtown Village and Clear Channel's 94.1 WZBQ.
