A Winston County man is facing arson charges after a federal grand jury indicted him.
43-year-old Charles William Heavner Jr. is facing two counts of arson for an incident that happened last December.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Officer, Heavner maliciously damaged the Marshall Durbin Field Operations Office by means of fire on December 4th.
"Trying to burn down a building is a serious and dangerous crime," Vance said. "In this instance, only quick action prevented terrible damage to property and potential loss of life."
The maximum sentence for both arson counts is 35 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
