Alabaster School System begins superintendent search

Alabaster's split from the Shelby County School System has reached a new level.

The newly formed Alabaster School Board will launch its official search to hire a superintendent for its new district. Alabaster is in negotiations to split with Shelby County because of rapid growth.

The public is welcome to attend tonight's meeting at the Alabaster Senior Center. It starts at 5:30 p.m.
