
Alabama head football coach Nick Saban accepts The Coaches' Trophy after defeating Notre Dame in the 2013 BCS National Championship game (photo source Dennis Washington, WBRC)The University of Alabama's football team will travel to Washington, D.C. next week to be congratulated by President Obama on their 15th national championship win.
The president will recognize the Crimson Tide for their accomplishments on and off the field during their 2012-2013 season.

The team will visit the White House on Wednesday, March 6. The president is expected to speak at 3:05 p.m. CST.
This is the third time in the past four years the Crimson Tide has traveled to the nation's capitol to be congratulated on their national championship victory.
