James' son Chris Bramlett tweeted us this photo of his dad with the huge fish. (Source: @Azriel_702)A Dora man has shattered the state record for largest striped bass by reeling in a monster of a fish.
James Bramlett caught the 70 pound, 47 inch long bass while fishing on the Warrior River by the Gorgas Steam Plant on Thursday.
The old state record was 55 pounds, so Bramlett's fish outweighs its predecessor by a whopping 15 pounds. Bramlett is still waiting for find out what the world record is for largest striped bass.
