Shelby County officials say one school suffered damage from the heavy winds that blew through the area on Tuesday.
They say a 40x15 section of roofing was peeled back by the winds. Two classrooms were affected.
At the time, students were evacuated by a teacher to a safety zone and injuries were assessed by an onsite nurse. No emergency medical attention was required.
No structural damage was reported to the building. Repairs are expected to take 2-3 weeks.
