OXFORD, AL (WBRC) -

Oxford Police are looking for a suspect in a Tuesday bank robbery.

Police say a lone male walked into the Farmers and Merchants Bank on Ali Way in Oxford and displayed a weapon. A bank employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of money before the man fled. No one was injured. The robbery happened Tuesday, March 5 at 2:45 p.m.

Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge says his officers identified the man as 39-year-old Eli Scrutchins of Woodstock, GA.

Police believe Scrutchins fled to Georgia. Chief Partridge would not say why Scrutchins was familiar to the officers who identified him from surveillance video.

Anyone with info about Scrutchins' location is asked to call the Oxford Police Department.
