Birmingham police responded to the scene at 19th Street North and 8th Avenue North, near the Alabama School of Fine Arts and Boutwell Auditorium. Officials say it happened around 9:40 a.m.
A witness to the incident said a man's leg was badly injured after being hit by the bus. Officials have not commented on the extent of the victim's injury.
