The accident happened at 5:15 p.m. Saturday in Calera on I-65.
The van rolled over after a left rear tire blew out because of a tread problem. Pastor Jonathan Woods says three adults and 12 children were in the van. Eleven of them went to the hospital. No one was seriously injured.
Sunday's service centered
around Saturday's accident and the actions of the bus driver.
God has done tremendous work and I do want to commend the van's driver, because sometimes you know the enemy can mess with you mind. But I tell you, had she not taken the actions that she did, it would have been worse than what it was. So, I want to love on her and appreciate her," said Woods.
The pastor says Saturday's accident is helping them appreciate what they have.
