BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Nearly 500-pounds of marijuana are off the streets in Heflin after police found the drugs during a routine traffic stop on I-20 yesterday.

The police chief says this amount of pot during one bust is rare.

One person was arrested.
