(Photo credit: Annie Hubbell)A massive fire that ignited Tuesday evening is still burning Wednesday evening at the old West Point Stevens Pepperrell Mill in Opelika.
Forty to fifty firefighters from Opelika and East Alabama were on the scene battling the huge fire that ignited sometime late Tuesday evening.
This is the same mill connected to the sludge spill that occurred after a demolition there in December, 2011. The flames and smoke were visible Tuesday night from the Tiger Town Shopping Center.
There have been no reports of injuries at this time.
