Alabama hoping to acquire drone testing work

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

We could be seeing more drones in Alabama, but do not be alarmed.

The Federal Aviation Administration is looking for six sites to becoming testing grounds for the un-manned aircraft systems.

Redstone Arsenal in the Huntsville area is already the hub for development and management of unmanned aerial vehicles for the Army.

30 other states are also vying for the work.
