Chapman Ducote shows the world that his driving skills are just as finely honed as his on-screen charm on Kim & Kourtney Take Miami
MIAMI, March 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As if being a reality television star as a cast member of the Kardashian show, Kim & Kourtney Take Miami on E! was not enough, Chapman Ducote was spotted this weekend piloting the Paramount Pictures G.I. Joe 3D: Retaliation racecar in the opening race of the 2013 American Le Mans Series season where he finished in sixth place. Ducote once again joined BAR1 Motorsports with Merchant Services for the 61st running of the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring fueled by Fresh From Florida. Ducote and co-drivers Tomy Drissi and Rusty Mitchell operated the No. 7 ORECA FLM09 car, while Chris Cummings, Kyle Marcelli, and former Formula One star, Stefan Johansson drove the No. 8 Evident Capital ORECA FLM09 car, which finished the 12 Hours of Sebring in second. This will be Ducote's seventh season in the America Le Mans Series as he contends for the Championship in ALMS Prototype Challenge and looks to add to his already impressive roster of 14 career podiums.
Sporting a background that boasts the mastery of multiple motorsport disciplines, Chapman Ducote transitioned into the American Le Mans Series in 2007 in GT2, raced GT1 in the legendary DBR9 Aston Martin, and joined Intersport Racing`s LMP1 effort with an AER-powered Lola in 2009 with former Series champions Clint and Jon Field. From 2009 to 2011 Ducote remained with the Intersport Racing team and continued to race Le Mans prototypes. In 2012, Chapman formed his own Merchant Services Racing team which he co-owns. As with previous years, Ducote still has an eye set on Europe and the Championship podium. To date, Ducote has earned 14 career Le Mans series podiums and two runner-up driver Championships from 2007 to 2012.
