
Three people were killed in two seperate crashes in Walker County Monday morning. (WBRC video)Authorities have identified three people killed Monday morning in two crashes in Walker County.
State troopers said the first crash happened around 7:50 a.m. on Scott Cemetery Rd two miles east of Carbon Hill. Troopers said William Charles Kinney, 32, of Nauvoo, died when the 2009 Toyota Camry he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Troopers said he was not wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash was not yet known.
Troopers said the second crash happened around 8:15 a.m. about two miles north of Jasper. They identified the victims as:
Amy Michelle Wilhite, 38, of Jasper
Brian Ray Marian, 41, of Jasper
Troopers said Wilhite's 2006 Nissan Altima collided with Marian's 1985 Dodge D-150. A passenger in Marian's vehicle, was injured and was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment.
State troopers said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
