Lattimore will attend South Carolina pro day

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBIA, SC (AP/WIS) - Injured running back Marcus Lattimore will attend South Carolina's pro day on March 27, although he won't run in any drills for NFL personnel attending the session.

Lattimore told The Associated Press on Tuesday he plans to talk with interested NFL teams, perhaps catch a few passes and lift weights at the yearly pre-draft workout.

Lattimore injured his right knee against Tennessee last October. He had surgery to repair torn ligaments and has rehabbed in Pensacola, Fla., since giving up his senior year this past December. Lattimore says he's jogged some but won't be cleared to run all-out sprints for another month.

He's met with about 10 NFL teams, yet has given up trying to predict when or if he'll hear his name called during April's draft.

Other USC players planning to attend are: Justice Cunningham, DeVonte Holloman, T.J. Johnson, Ace Sanders, D.J. Swearinger, Devin Taylor, and Shaq Wilson.
