The Honda-Indy Grand Prix weekend has officially begun. The gates at Barber's Motorsports Park opened at 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning to begin the event.
Racers will hold practice sessions and qualify on Friday. On Saturday, fans can enjoy the Posche 250 at 12:45 p.m. and then the Continental Tire Sports Car Series at 4 p.m. On Friday, The Legacy Indy Lights race begins at 12 p.m., followed by the Honda Indy Grand Prix at 2:40 p.m.
In an interview with FOX6's Clare Huddleston, race Charlie Kimball said he always enjoys racing at Barber's.
"George Barber has done a beautiful job. It is really like racing in a park," said Kimball.
