A bee keeper and a beer brewer might seem like an unlikely combination. But at a place called Back Forty Beer Co. in Gadsden, there's a company dedicated not just to local farmers, but to all things Absolutely Alabama.
The brewery is devoted to using as many local products as they can in their beers, including local honey. Fred Hunter also visited Terry Thomas of Cold Creek Honey Co., which supplies all of the honey for Back Forty's Truck Stop Honey beer.
Back Forty will soon introduce its first seasonal offering, Seasonal Peach Wheat, made with genuine Chilton County peaches. Back Forty beer is currently available in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Florida.
