RAILROAD PARK NEIGHBORHOOD PARTY - The Railroad Park Neighborhood Block Party is this Sunday from Noon until 5pm. It is free and open to the public. Railroad Park's Neighborhood Block Party on Sunday will boast delicious food truck fare, old school games and outstanding musical talent including Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires. The Birmingham Barons will play at Regions Field at 3pm that afternoon; Railroad Park invites everyone to come down early and enjoy Birmingham at its best. Local food truck favorites Shindigs, Melt, Off The Hook, Dreamcakes, Steel City Pops, Taqueria Guzman Taco Truck, Spoonfed Grill and Avalanche Delights will be set up in Railroad Park that afternoon. Wilder Adkins and blues great Gip Gipson will take the stage, as will Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires, a local band recently featured in Garden and Gun and Rolling Stone. In a family play area, Railroad Park will have inexpensive kites and Frisbees for sale, as well as a face painting area, corn hole toss and a drum circle.
