Montgomery police say two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a string of five armed robberies that occurred between April 6 and April 10.
MPD has charged 20-year-old James Hubbard and 18-year-old David Coleman, both of Montgomery, with five counts each of first degree robbery in connection with multiple persons robberies.
MPD says they responded to the first robbery around 3:10 p.m. April 6 in the 1200 block of Eastdale Mall Drive. The second robbery was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Woodley Road.
The third, fourth and fifth robberies all happened on April 10. The third occurred around 1:15 a.m. in the 3800 block of Liberty Square Drive, the fourth around 2 a.m. in the 4000 block of Troy Highway and the fifth happened around 8 p.m. in the 2700 block of Zelda Road.
All victims were robbed of personal property by individuals carrying a weapon. No injuries were reported.
Hubbard was taken into custody on Friday, April 12 by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force. Coleman was also taken into custody on Friday by MPD Detectives.
At this time, no additional information is available for release related to this ongoing investigation.
