Birmingham Track Club hosts unity run, blood drive after Boston bombings

HOMEWOOD, AL (WBRC) -

The Birmingham Track Club has dedicated their Wednesday run to all those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

Runners gather every Wednesday for a group run but this week, they'll open their meeting with a prayer and blood drive.

A Red Cross mobile blood donation truck is parked near Homewood's Trak Shak tonight. They will be on site until 8 p.m. Wednedsay.
