A local store in Tuscaloosa is hosting a run for Boston.
Wagners Runwalk is joining other running specialty stores across the U.S. that are doing the same thing.
Members of the community came together Monday night to show support for those affected by the marathon bombings. It started in midtown village.
"I just feel like it was a really good cause. I have family in Boston and friends there and everything and it felt like a good way to give back even though I'm nowhere close to the city," said UA student Chelsea Pickett. "I was thinking ‘if they can't run it, I'll run it for them, run this race just for them.' It's important because the people in Boston didn't get to finish, so I want to finish for them and send up my prayers just for them."
All of the money raised will go to the One Fund Boston.
