Students in Huntsville are spreading an important message in their schools. Huntsville City Schools recognized middle and high school students who helped earned the "No Place for Hate" designation this year.
The program addresses hate, bullying and diversity. Students said the program is working.
"I think it will make them feel a lot better more accepted. They'll feel a lot better because now they can go to school and they can be like well I'm good I can be myself and I don't have to worry about people trying to put me down and bring me down. I can just express who I am and have my own personality," said Hampton Cove Middle School student, Serenity Andrus.
The program is sponsored by the anti-defamation league.
