Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the cause of a Geneva County accident that injured three people, one fatally.
Authorities say the two-vehicle crash happened at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday on AL 167 at the intersection of Geneva 41, five miles north of Hartford.
Troopers say 60-year-old Jacqulin G. Herring, of Defuniak Springs, was driving a 2004 Jeep when she ran a stop sign and was struck by a 2008 Mitsubishi Galant driven by 39-year-old Enterprise resident David Smith. A passenger in Herring's vehicle, 85-year-old Raynell Free Goodwin, also of Defuniak Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both Herring and Smith were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of their injuries.
