GREENE COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A teenager was killed in a wreck on Highway 43 in Greene County when the car he was driving collided with an 18-wheeler.

State troopers say William Webb, a 16-year-old from Forkland, died after losing control of a 1996 Toyota Tacoma on a wet roadway. The car crashed into a 2012 Volvo 18-wheeler.

Troopers say Webb was not wearing his seatbelt. The driver of the 18-wheeler was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured in the collision.

The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. Friday, May 10 at the 140 mile marker of Highway 43, about one mile north of Demopolis near the Marengo County line

State Troopers continue to investigate the deadly wreck.
