The sounds and smells inside the Prattville Mellow Mushroom are suddenly sweeter knowing LPGA golf is coming back to town.
"Outstanding," says General Manager Mark Hill.
He knows how profitable the event is for his store.
"It's such a great boost for our personal sales here."
That trickles to other local businesses, too.
"Their business picks up and they have to come to the bank and make deposits, so it's good for us, too," says Jimmy Stubbs, President and CEO of River Bank & Trust.
But even business owners know the tournament is about more than the money.
"Everybody has such a good time with it," adds Hill.
The golfers visit Hill's restaurant.
"The girls are always so approachable, too."
And when they come back, he'll be prepared.
"We have a fairly good list of what we have to do to make that happen. I keep it on my computer in a docs file so I'll go back and look at it."
Prattville Chamber of Commerce officials say the tournament impacts the river region to the tune of more than $7 million dollars.
