Desmonte Leonard, the man accused of murdering three people in Auburn last summer still has no expectation on when he will go to trial.
Court documents show Leonard will have a status hearing on October 15th. At the last meeting both parties had expressed intentions to meet in August but "parties have indicated this case is not yet ripe for trial."
In a hearing last week Leonard's attorneys argued that he should be allowed to return the to scene of the crime with his counsel. Both the prosecution and defense must submit briefs stating why Leonard should or should not be allowed to revisit the scene by May 31st.
A trial date for 2013 now seems less likely due to the timing of the October status hearing.
