A Barbour County couple was arrested Wednesday and charged with domestic violence related to an investigation into an argument that happened on May 9th.
The couple, residents from Clayton, are identified as Princina Freeman, 22, and Michael Ginyard, 30. Both received non-life-threatening gunshot wounds in the altercation.
Freeman and Ginyard were each charged with domestic violence 2nd degree.
Barbour County Sheriff LeRoy Upshaw said that there were two small children inside the couple's home at the time of the shooting.
Upshaw said one of the children, a nine-month-old, was less than 10 feet away from where the gun was fired.
Both suspects were booked into the county jail with a bond of $10,000 each.
