BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The third round of the Regions Tradition saw South African David Frost take hold of the lead with one stroke ahead of Fred Couples.

Frost finished up with a 66 for the round with birdies on the 16th and 17th holes. Couples gained a birdie on 15 and closed the round with a 68. Overall, Frost is 12-under and Couples 11-under.

"It's more about being comfortable with your game. Getting into a position like this makes you become a little at ease the more you get there," said Frost after the round.

"Tomorrow, we are going to have to win more fairways and play a little better from tee to green," said Couples on his plans for the next round.

Following Frost and Couples is Morris Hatalsky with a 10-under 67, Michael Allen with a 10-under 69 and Duffy Waldorf with a 10-under 71.

Sunday's tee times have been moved up in an attempt to beat out the rain. The leaders are expected to tee off around 9:30 a.m. and finish up by 2:30 a.m.
