Birmingham Zoo, McWane & Fresh Air Family Butterfly day at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Saturday - Fresh Air Family will have a special butterfly event this Saturday. Here's what they tweeted: "Celebrate butterfly day with us this coming Saturday, June 15, at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens." Birmingham Zoo will host children's activities from 10 - 2 p.m., with butterfly releases scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. McWane Science Center will also host children's activities from 10 - 2 p.m., and hold a drawing for free tickets to its latest feature, "Flight of the Butterflies." Fresh Air Family will host "Hikes for Tykes," a walk led by Verna Gates focusing on butterfly lore, legend and stories based on Monarch butterflies. The hike, designed for pre-school children and their parents, will begin at 10 a.m.

COMEDIAN - Greg Morton has been described as having "an animated presence." Not surprising when you read his credentials. Greg worked as an animator on such shows as the Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show and the New Flintstone's. He has directed several Saturday morning cartoon hits including Hammerman (MC Hammer) and The Legend of White Fang for HBO. CHEFS FOR THE CURE - Chefs for the Cure is next Thursday from 6-9pm at The Club. Chefs for the Cure is an exclusive tasting event that features an array of gourmet cuisine from some of Birmingham's finest chefs.
