MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

A Madison County judge set a preliminary hearing date for a music school director charged with sexual abuse.

Madison Police arrested Dennis Craston Brock on June 7.

Investigators said Brock sexually abused a child several years earlier in Madison. Court documents state the abuse happened in 2008 when the child was between the ages of 4 and 6.

Police say the child came forward after seeing a school presentation on child abuse. The alleged victim now lives in Tennessee.

Police said the child was not a student at New Song School of Fine Arts, where Brock serves as director.

School officials said Brock has been placed on administrative leave.

Brock is out of jail on bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 18.
