Monday morning homicide victim identified as Bessemer teen

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The Birmingham Police Department says they are investigating a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours on Monday.

Officers responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Wilson Road Southwest around 12:19 a.m. June 24. The victim was found lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased.

Police have identified the victim as Aaron Whitt, a 19-year-old from Bessemer.

No charges or arrests have been filed in the case.
