Birmingham police have released the name of the woman charged with murder in a deadly house fire from over the weekend.
Police have charged Olivia Doutly, a 22-year-old from Birmingham, with felony murder in the death of William Radney, a 69-year-old Birmingham man.
Firefighters responded to a house fire on 63rd Street South on Saturday night and found Radney's body in the basement.
Radney was unresponsive and had injuries that didn't appear to be caused by the fire, Sgt. Johnny Williams said. Radley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Birmingham police detectives began investigating his death as a homicide, due to the types of injuries he sustained.
Police announced Tuesday they had a suspect in custody and released her name on Wednesday.
Doutly is being held on a $75,000 bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
